Updated: Surrounded by yellow caution tape,  Detective Micheal Griffin,  spokesperson for the Moline Police has confirmed a homicide Wednesday morning just behind city hall in Moline.

Detective Griffin said there is male victim who was shot in a vehicle behind city hall, but that two other cars were involved and eight to 10 shots were  heard. No arrests have been made and no suspects have been confirmed.

Det. Griffin said streets surrounding city hall have been blocked and Moline Police is searching for those involved.

"In my 14 years I have not experienced something like this so close to where we work,'' Griffin said.

Updated: A person has died in his car from a shooting.

Police are responding to a shot fired call in downtown Moline on Wednesday morning.
